The book chosen for this week is.... [drumroll please] Anne of Green Gables. Anne of Green Gables is a must-read. Countless movies and T.V. shows [Anne with an E anyone?] have retold the classic story. Why? Because it is just that amazing.
Anne of Green Gables is the first book of the series and perhaps the best. It tells of a girl with a big imagination, Anne Shirley, who is getting adopted to what seems like her forever home with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert at Green Gables. However, the Cuthberts wanted to adopt a boy, not a girl. Will Anne stay at Green Gables? Or will she have to leave behind the Lake of Shining Waters and The White Way of Delight?
