Today is National Freedom Day, which celebrates freedom from slavery & recognizes America as a symbol of liberty & hope! It honors the signing of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which was not ratified until later during the year. This act abolished slavery officially, providing for more equality & social justice. 😄
