The Note Quote: Week of March 8th

The Note Quote is back for the 2nd week of March. This specific Note Quote is very special because it is [if I am not mistaken] the 10th week of these weekly posts!

Now, let's get into this week's quote. This quotation by Friedrich Nietzsche, who was many things- a composer, poet, writer, but perhaps the most prominent word that describes him is philosopher, which is shown through this insightful quote. The quote means that if a person has a purpose and reason for living it is much easier to tolerate the hardships that come in life. For instance, if one person has certain goals that they wanted to achieve and another person has none, don't you think the person who has a purpose would tolerate negativity more or have more of a will to live? It is like in a test. If one person, taking the test really wants to win, and another really doesn't care, who do you think will likely do better? Probably the person who has a purpose and a goal, since they are motivated.

Incidentally, this week, try to give yourself a purpose, whether that means gardening, taking care of your pets, exploring the world, finish reading a book etc. See what difference that makes in your life. That sums up this week's quote, I hope you liked it! Don't forget to check out the other posts by the talented Vi!

P.S. If you like this quote, check out many of Nietzsche's other great sayings.

P.P.S. Feel free to comment on your motivations or purposes in life!
