While many teenagers may be swapping reading for Reddit, reading is still a vital part of our lives. It allows us to acquire new information, gain new ideas, and, most importantly, it is fun. Books are like bridges between two worlds, a link between the gloomy, virus-ravaged world of today and a fantastical place on another planet. No matter what your interests are, there is always a book for you.
Many teenagers choose not to read because the books recommended to them and the classics read in school don't appeal to them. Teens should pick out books aligning with their interests, whether it is a book about video game tips or a paper on Darwin's Theory of Evolution.
